Legal Program Manager at TrialWatch

Maneka Khanna is a Legal Program Manager at the TrialWatch Initiative at the Foundation. Prior to joining the Foundation, Maneka practiced criminal law and human rights in New Delhi for six years before the Supreme Court of India, the Delhi High Court and various trial courts. During this time, she co-founded the Women in Criminal Law Association, a collaborative network of women lawyers in India aimed at promoting criminal justice and inclusivity in the legal profession. Maneka has also worked with the Peace and Security team at UN Women as a Legal Extern and the Human Rights Institute at Columbia University as a Research Assistant. She holds an LL.M. from Columbia Law School and a B.A., LL.B.(Hons.) from the National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata. She is qualified to practice in India and New York (pending admission) and is fluent in English and Hindi.
