Sofia Heller

Sofia Heller is the Assistant to the Executive Leadership Team at the Clooney Foundation for Justice, supporting the ELT, Chief of Staff, and Communications team. In her role, she is responsible for project management and foundation operations. Prior to joining CFJ, Sofia served as the Development and Communications Program Support Analyst at End Homelessness California, a nonprofit that provides direct social services to the unhoused community in Los Angeles. She specialized in grant writing and expanded financial and organizational resources for Los Angeles County housing projects through advocacy and media campaigns. Sofia began her professional journey at ABC7 Los Angeles, where she contributed to long-form pieces for Eyewitness News, Hulu, and Disney+. In this capacity, she led coverage of high-profile criminal trials as the reporter on-site at federal and state courthouses. Sofia graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a minor in Journalism.
