Megan Ahearn
Human Resources Manager
Megan Ahearn joined the Clooney Foundation for Justice as Human Resources Manager after 10 years of experience working for nonprofit organizations. Most recently, she served the global staff at All Out, an organization that campaigns for LGBT+ rights worldwide. In her time at All Out, she filled the roles of temporary Director of Operations and Senior Manager of HR.
Megan began her career as a Program Manager overseeing the Buckminster Fuller Institute’s annual $100,000 design prize, subsequently shifting to focus on grant giving, budgeting, communications, and strategic planning with the Board of Directors of the Wright-Ingraham Institute. Through her experiences, she has honed expertise in inclusive leadership and conflict management. Her work is informed by a focus on empathy and equity.
Megan has a B.A. in Anthropology and a B.S. in Sustainability and the Built Environment from the University of Florida, and a M.S. in Community and Regional Planning from the University of British Columbia. She has focused her academic and professional endeavors on her commitment to human rights, sustainable development, and confronting the global environmental crisis. Megan speaks Spanish and Italian and is attempting to learn Farsi.
Through her experiences, Megan has honed expertise in inclusive leadership and conflict management. Her work is informed by a focus on empathy and equity.
