Norburg

Molly Norburg is a Legal Associate at the Clooney Foundation for Justice’s Waging Justice for Women Initiative. Before that, Molly was a legal fellow at CFJ for a year, and she interned at a hybrid tribunal in The Hague, where she catalogued evidence of war crimes, supported a trial team, and researched international criminal trial procedure. As a member of the International Justice Policy Lab at Stanford Law, Molly wrote a briefing on forced sterilization as an act of genocide and advised another client on the admissibility of digital evidence of atrocities. Her co-authored note, Digital Eyewitnesses: Using New Technologies to Authenticate Evidence in Human Rights Litigation, was published in Vol. 74 of the Stanford Law Review. She has also researched civil litigation for extraterritorial abuses with the Center for Justice and Accountability and international instruments on the sexual exploitation of children with ECPAT-USA. Prior to law school, Molly served as the Deputy Director of Advance for Chicago Mayors Rahm Emanuel & Lori Lightfoot. She holds a J.D. from Stanford Law School, as well as a B.A. in International Studies and a B.S. in Journalism & Strategic Communication from the University of Kansas. She speaks conversational French.
