Swander

Kat Swander is the Fundraising and Development Manager at the Clooney Foundation for Justice. She played a key role in organizing The Albies, CFJ’s annual gala celebrating courageous justice defenders from around the world, before joining the foundation full-time.

Prior to CFJ, Kat led community marketing and strategic partnerships at an early-stage tech startup. She has also held a range of roles in both large and small technology companies, with experience in operations, product development, and community engagement.

She holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from the University of British Columbia, where she graduated with honors and focused on development economics and political economy. She is particularly passionate about immigrant rights, with past advocacy efforts focused on supporting migrants and asylum seekers at the Mexican-American border in Tijuana. Kat is based in Canada.
