Waging Justice for Women Fellow

Betty Nkirote is serving her fellowship with the Katiba Institute. She is an experienced legal researcher who uses her advocacy skills to represent victims of human rights violations. Betty’s experiences as a woman with a disability, coupled with the stigmatization that comes with having a disability, inspire her to promote sexual and reproductive health rights of women

Betty received her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Moi University School of Law and her Postgraduate Diploma in Law from Kenya School of Law.

During the fellowship, Betty aims to advance the rights of women and girls experiencing gender-based violence and engage in legal aid clinics to educate women and girls about their human rights.
