Senior Program Manager at The Docket

Ignacio Jovtis is a Senior Program Manager with the Foundation’s Docket initiative, dealing mainly with investigations and legal strategies to promote litigations on international crimes. Previously, he served as Research and Policy Manager of Amnesty International Spain; Programmes and Campaigns Director of the National Office of Amnesty International Brazil, Lecturer in European Law at Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona); and External Advisor on EU-MERCOSUR relations for the Brussels office of ALOP. Ignacio also held various positions at the International Secretariat of Amnesty International in London working for Latin America and Europe. He is a Visiting Lecturer at the Autonomous University of Madrid. With over 14 years of experience working with international NGOs, foundations, and grassroots movements, Ignacio has trained and advised several organizations across the globe about strategic campaigning. Ignacio has published several academic papers on EU relations with the Latin American region. He holds a Master’s degree in International Law and Relations from Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona) and a law degree from FASTA University in Argentina.
