Geesu Lee

After graduating from Middlebury College with a B.A. in economics in 2012, Geesu spent three years in the Republic of Korea Armed Forces, during which he also served as a UN Peacekeeper in Lebanon. Thereafter, Geesu pursued graduate studies at Princeton University (M.P.A.) and Columbia Law School (J.D.). At law school, Geesu collaborated with the Clooney Foundation for Justice (CFJ) as a clinic student for the TrialWatch initiative and became deeply interested in CFJ’s unique project, leading him to pursue a post-graduate legal fellowship at CFJ. During his fellowship, Geesu plans to conduct extensive fact-finding regarding human rights violations across the globe and hopes to contribute to CFJ’s advocacy work.
