Clooney Foundation for Justice Launches Justice Champion Program with Quinn Emanuel as Inaugural Partner

LONDON — The Clooney Foundation for Justice (CFJ) today unveiled the Justice Champion Program — a new initiative bringing together leading law firms to provide pro bono legal support to women and journalists around the world. Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, one of the world’s preeminent litigation firms with over 1,000 attorneys across 35 offices worldwide, is the program’s inaugural partner.

During the course of the partnership, Quinn Emanuel will support the organization’s core programs as well as the Oxford Institute for Technology and Justice, which was co-founded by Amal Clooney to harness the power of AI to advance justice. Marjun Parcasio and Muzhgan Wahaj, two London based associates with expertise in international human rights law are the inaugural 2026 Justice Champion Fellows.

The announcement expands CFJ’s world-class network of pro bono attorneys at leading law firms. Since its founding, CFJ has secured more than 10,000 hours of free legal support for women facing discrimination and violence and journalists unjustly imprisoned for their work.

“This partnership will help us do even more for the women and journalists we represent,” said Amal Clooney, Co-Founder of the Clooney Foundation for Justice. “We are lucky to count Quinn Emanuel as part of the CFJ family and very grateful for their support as our first Justice Champion partner.”

“At-risk women and detained journalists around the world have an advocate they can trust in CFJ,” said Kevin Johnson, Partner at Quinn Emanuel. “We’re proud to support that mission, and this fellowship gives our lawyers the chance to work on consequential human rights matters while making a real difference in people’s lives.”

Julianne Hughes-Jennett, Partner at Quinn Emanuel London added “Quinn Emanuel is honored to be CFJ’s inaugural partner and to support CFJ in its fight for human rights and justice globally. We look forward to using our legal skills to ensure access to justice for all”.
