Matthew Beech

Matthew is a fellow at the Clooney Foundation for Justice’s TrialWatch initiative. He is a qualified lawyer in the UK and an associate in Covington & Burling’s White Collar Crime and Investigations practice group in London.  Matthew has conducted several multi-jurisdictional investigations into allegations of bribery, corruption, fraud, and money laundering, and he routinely represents clients before UK law enforcement authorities. Matthew also maintains an active human rights and pro bono practice. He has acted for several clients in a European Court of Human Rights action concerning wartime human rights violations, and has also acted for clients in relation to immigration and privacy issues. Matthew holds a Bachelor’s degree in History from University College London.
